Shetland League (4/5) Tee Ball

The Shetland Tee Ball League is a tee ball league - the players will hit off of a tee. Players age five have the option of participating in the Shetland Tee Ball or Coach Pitch League, depending on their level of ability. If your child will play in this league, they will not try out. The coaches of this program select the teams in conjunction with the League Director. Players of the same household are assigned to the same team. This is an introductory and instructional league only.

Shetland League (5/6) Coach Pitch

The Shetland Coach Pitch league is a coach pitch league - the players will hit off of a tee after four pitches from the coach. Players age five have the option of participating in the Shetland Tee Ball or Coach Pitch League, depending on their level of ability. If your child will play in this league, they will not try out. The coaches for this program select the teams in conjunction with the League Director. Players of the same household are assigned to the same team. This is an introductory and instructional league only.

Pinto League (7/8)

The Pinto League is a coach pitch league and works to get the player ready for the Mustang League where players will pitch for the first time.  While this League remains grounded in the teachings of fundamental instruction, The Pinto League season differs from the Shetland League in that score is kept and the concept of winning/losing with grace is developed.  Please contact League Director with questions.

Mustang League (9/10)

The Mustang League introduces the player to a more traditional game of baseball where coaches coach and players pitch.  The pitcher's mound is 44' and the bases are 60'. The baserunners will be able to lead off and the pitchers will be taught to pitch from the stretch position. Due to the dimensions of our field and issues relating to the safety of the kids in the GBI complex, big barrel bats will not be allowed.

Mike Mitchell, Mustang League Director (Email Me)

Bronco League (11/12)

The Bronco League works to prepare the player for the next level of baseball - either Middle School or the GBI Pony League, where the player will be on a full size field, while teaching the fundamentals of the game.  The pitcher's mound will be moved to 48' and the bases will be moved to 70'. The baserunners will be able to lead off and the pitchers will be taught to pitch from the stretch position. Due to the dimensions of our field and issues relating to the safety of the kids in the GBI complex, big barrel bats will not be allowed.

Pony (13-15) & Colt (16-18) Leagues

The Pony and Colt Leagues provide the player an opportunity to continue playing baseball through Middle and High School.  Fundamentals are refined and skills sharpened as players participate on a full size field.  The pitcher's mound is moved to 60' 6" and bases will be moved to 90'.  The players will be allowed to use big barrel and wood bats.
